Elliott James, APRN, MSN, CMRD, has had an interest in brain science since he was a kid. He got his first Bachelor's degree at Stetson University where he was studying behavioral neuroscience, working in the neuroscience lab of the psychology department. His senior research in Psychology was accepted and presented at the 2004 Southeastern Psychology Association in Nashville, Tennessee. He decided to go into healthcare always with the intention of working in Neurology. He received a Bachelor's in nursing from UCF, and a Master's degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. Within Neurology, Elliott has a special interest in movement disorders, and in February 2025 earned a certification in movement and related disorders through the Association of Movement Disorder Advanced Practice Providers. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, is a musician, and enjoys classic and modern literature.
