Botulinum Toxin for Neurological Conditions

Our office offers Botulinum Toxin for the treatment of such conditions as Dystonia (spasmodic torticollis, cervical dystonia, blepharospasm, etc), facial nerve disorders, spasticity and chronic migraines.

Your physician will inject Botulinum toxin into the affected areas with a small needed; EMG guidance is used with certain diagnosis. Botulinum toxin temporarily blocks the receptors causing muscle spasms which in turn will relieve symptoms of the underlying condition. The effects of Botulinum toxin last between 3-6 months; therefore, repeat procedures are necessary.

Botulinum toxin is a safe and effective treatment which has been approved by the FDA for the treatment of the conditions listed above.
